For Teachers
One assignment. Every student gets the right book for their instrument.
Year 1 for mixed string classes
Assign Year 1 to your class. Students who play violin, viola, cello, or bass each receive their own instrument-specific curriculum. The class stays together on the same schedule, but homework and recitals are personalized.
Four strings. Four recitals. One platform.
What you get
- My Homework, My Journey, and My Skills for every student
- Google Classroom integration: one CourseWork per lesson slot
- Automatic fan-out: each student sees only their instrument book
- Instrument choice is locked after the first pick; you correct it on the People page
- Grades and time-on-task visible per student and per class
- Four built-in recitals (one after each string unit) with note-name and finger-number parts
- Drip release: open lessons when your class is ready
Mixed class, real orchestra
Year 1 teaches D, A, G, and the instrument's next string (E for violin and bass, C for viola and cello). The mixed-class concert pieces stay in unison on D and A. The G-string and final-string recitals are per-instrument homework so every student performs on the string they just learned.
